“When can we go back?”

We stayed with adult children and a baby for the first few days and then other relatives for the rest of the week who stayed on for another week.

The photos of this place don't do it justice. This is a property with kerb appeal and it gets better the closer you get. We arrived in the rain but our instant impression was space, space and more space. The 2 bedrooms downstairs with ensuite to the larger one were ideal for the couple and child and later the 25 year old who wanted peace and quiet from the oldies. Upstairs the lounge/diner is a beautiful place. You could have a dance in there and the room almost demanded it. 3 further bedrooms with lovely furnishings and luxurious linens were a lovely treat and the bathrooms invited you to linger. The kitchen was large enough for 6 adults to eat comfortably if you want to eat inside but the outside dining was even more spacious. Well equipped kitchen for the cook who likes to cook and the lazier cook as well. The summer kitchen and fridge outside were very useful. The outside seating areas and the pool are well maintained and the planting creates a relaxing feel. Sitting reading a book in the still, quiet morning away from the rest of the party was a guilty pleasure.The field beyond is secure and safe for kids. Our 11 month year old loved the slide and swing but not as much as the chickens! Which brings me to the greatest surprise, our hosts Graham and Diana. Not only did they give us a friendly greeting in the rain and their thorough yet suitably brief tour but they also presented us with a welcome food/drink package including home laid eggs. Throughout the week they were discreetly in the background so we never felt watched but when asked for advice they were helpful and entertaining.”

“A little piece of French paradise!

We have just returned from a two week holiday in La Belle Echappee. We were made so welcome by the owners. Our arrival pack was waiting for us and even though some of our party arrived early they were made most welcome with tea and a chat.We were a party of 12 - all related - with five teenagers and an elderly mother. The property was ideally suited to us all. There is a wonderful pool area - heated and floodlit in the evenings, table tennis, extensive lawns and swings and a slide for younger children. The house itself is beautiful! It is very well decorated and furnished. The beds are VERY comfortable and obviously no expense has been spared to achieve this vey high standard. The house is in a beautiful location - so peaceful and pretty and not too far from the village and large supermarkets. There are some lovely walks around. The owners live on site and are the most friendly hospitable people who really work hard to ensure you have a great time. We cannot rate this property highly enough.”

“A wonderful holiday - we didn’t want to go home!”

The property is great for all ages having extensive grounds and a beautiful heated salt water swimming pool. The interior is luxuriously appointed throughout and has extremely comfortable beds. The house is extremely spacious and even though we were a large group we never felt that we were in each others way. The owners, Diana and Graham could not be more welcoming and helpful and have put an awful lot of thought into the outdoor equipment provided for games and entertainment. This is a fantastic holiday home in a great location.”
